Learning and teaching in the classroom cannot just be easily transferred into online learning environment. It is because there are many things that have to be considered while doing online learning and online teaching for example, the technology, ease of navigation, communication features available, etc. So it is obviously not true that online learning is just something that is similar to web browsing, just typing and clicking without any planning, any strategies and probably without any clear set goals.
To some of you this online CALL Course probably is a new experience. Therefore, adaptation with the online learning environment is probably the first thing to do. So, at this first online session just make yourself familiar with available features that this virtual learning environment offers (VLE). If you find any difficulties do not hesitate to send message or post questions to the discussion board section.
This first week will be your week to explore this online learning environment. So take your time to try every available feature. If you follow my instruction during the first face to face meeting last week, then you should be alright.
